Let these words from Ephesians, Chapter 3, Verse 20* slowly seep into our minds: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” What an incredible description of God's ability to work within His followers! We often focus on what we want God to do around us, but He encourages us to think and ask for something greater: to change us!
The Lord has a purpose for your life, and He is tirelessly working towards it. Although the Father has unique plans for each of His children, He also aims to shape every believer into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. To achieve this, we may need to go through certain struggles and sufferings. We might often not see the meaning behind them, but God knows exactly what He is doing. Spiritual fruit takes time to grow and mature. For this reason, we need patience and faith to have the confidence that He is working even when we don’t see the results immediately. God never rushes, and He will never give up on us.
What would you like the Lord to do within you? As you read the Scripture, look for qualities that God values and ask Him to build them into your life. Then trust His extraordinary promise to accomplish even more than you can ask or imagine.
